The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Strategic Resources Department Records consist of 1 audiotape and 4 folders of jurisdictional materials and collective bargaining agreements. Originally founded in Atlanta in 1888 as a trade union for railroad machinists, today the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers represents workers in a large and diverse number of fields.

International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District Lodge 751 organized in Seattle, Washington, in 1935. It represents employees at Boeing Company. Its collection (1970s-2000s) includes digital files of documents, news clippings, periodicals, audio, photographs, and correspondence.

Records of International Association of Machinists [IAM], Local Lodge 49 (Chicago Ridge, Ill.), 1939-1966, consist of correspondence and applications for veterans badges (indicating membership in IAM for 15 or more years).

International Association of Machinists Local Lodge 89 existed in Cheyenne, Wyoming during the late 19th and into the twentieth century. The records includes minutes, financial records, correspondence, rolls and dues lists, administrative records of the Ladies Auxiliary, railroad maintenance booklets, and other general administrative records and items.

Manuals, correspondence, printed material, and notes describe political, vocational, and labor education in the Southern and Mid-Western states, Panama and Puerto Rico, 1947-1971.

The Iowa State Council of Machinists, made up of representatives of the districts and lodges of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers in the state of Iowa, formed in 1939. This collection contains minutes from the Iowa State Machinists Council (1952) and agreements of Local Lodge 831 (Cedar Rapids, Iowa).

The J. M. Long Collection, 1905-1960, contains information including dues books, dinner programs, newspaper clippings and certificates associated with his membership in the International Association of Machinists, Lodge One.

The James R. (Jim) Ashlock Collection, 1938-1991, undated, consists of newsclippings, correspondence, annual reports, briefing notes, memoranda, and audiovisual materials. This collection provides broad insight into day-to-day operations, internal communication, history, and media relations at Eastern Airlines, Inc.

Jim Malott served as the General Vice President, Organizing Department of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), AFL-CIO in Washington D.C. His collection consists of organizing aids used by the IAM in the 1950s.

The New York State Council of Machinists records consist of bylaws, audit reports, correspondence, minutes, and other records created by or for the New York State Council of Machinists, 1952.

R. H. Baucom (1897-1967) was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local Lodge 776 (Fort Worth, Tex.), who worked at the Convair aircraft plant in Fort Worth. His IAM collection includes Local Lodge 776 membership dues books and his retirement card (1946-1962), as well as a brief reminiscence written by his daughter, Tommie Baucom-Richardson.

Ralph Archer was a member the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers' Mt. Hood Lodge, Local Lodge 1005 (Gladstone, Or.). Collection contains three membership booklets, 1950-1970.

Robert Miller Grant Dues Book records dues and insurance payments to the International Association of Machinists, 1935-1940.

Tom Ducy served as General Secretary-Treasurer of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), 1987-1993. Collection includes an IAM constitution, 1913; and minutes of IAM Lodge 47, also know as the Pioneer Lodge (Commerce City, Colo.),1889-1891; and a jurisdictional agreement that was part of a collective bargaining agreement with the Curtiss-Wright Corporation Airplane Division, St. Louis Plant, 1942.

Collection consists of a photograph, ca. 1978, of William W. Winpisinger (1924-1997), international president of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, with Fritz Prechtl (1923-2004), president of the International Transport Workers' Federation and of the Austrian Railway Workers' Union.
