International Association of Machinists, Local Lodge 6 (Galveston, Texas), was founded in the late 1880s and merged with Local Lodge 1786 in July 2005. The lodge represented workers in a variety of industries in and around Galveston. Its records, 1929-1962, include ledgers, dues books, and artifacts.
