International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Local Lodge 6 (Galveston, Tex.) records
International Association of Machinists, Local Lodge 6 (Galveston, Texas), was founded in the late 1880s and merged with Local Lodge 1786 in July 2005. The lodge represented workers in a variety of industries in and around Galveston. Its records, 1929-1962, include ledgers, dues books, and artifacts.

IAMAW Local Lodge 37 was chartered on July 11, 1899, and dissolved in the late 1980s. Its records relate to the day-to-day activities of a major New Orleans union and its relationship to the International headquarters, and include constitutions, bylaws, minutes, correspondence, agreement reports, financial records, membership cards and artifacts.

Erie machinists initially were chartered as an American Federation of Labor affiliate, then reorganized as National Association of Machinists' Local Lodge 101 (both in 1890). The local was re-chartered in August 1896, then re-organized in May 1901. The Records, 1896-1916, of Lodge 101 are composed principally of minutes and dues records.

Most of the interviews have been conducted by IAMAW Grand Lodge personel or Southern Labor Archives Staff. Many of the interviews have been transcribed.
