M.H. Mitchell, Inc. Collection of Southern Structure consists of books, sheet music, maps, artifacts, photographs, business cards, advertisements, flyers, neighborhood zoning materials, scrapbooks, and other manuscript materials detailing the history of Atlanta, Georgia and specifically the Grant Park neighborhood.

Abstract

The M.H. Mitchell, Inc. Collection of Stone Mountain, 1970, 1972, consists of 7 brochures related to Stone Mountain Park and its bas relief carving, 12 postcards related to the park and 3 small posters of the mountain. Stone Mountain is a quartz monzonite dome monadnock and the site of Stone Mountain Park, 16 miles (26 km) east of Atlanta, Georgia. Outside the park is the small city of Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Abstract

Jennifer Ann Jenkins (1955-2021) worked as the manager of the Perimeter College theater and drama club and was active in the Atlanta theater scene as a costume designer. The Jennifer Ann Jenkins Collection consists of household files, professional materials detailing her career in theater, photo albums, scrapbooks, costume patterns and designs, and theatre programs and posters.

Abstract Michael H. Trotter (born 1936) has been dedicated to civic and educational reform in his home city of Atlanta. In addition to his career as an attorney, professor of law, and legal historian, he has participated in such civic groups as the Atlanta Action Forum, the Atlanta Committee for Public Education, and Good Government Atlanta, earning recognition for his work toward racial equality and school reform. Attorney Millard Farmer has fought against the death penalty since the 1960s. His papers primarily comprise legal files and records, the papers include correspondence, photographs, sound recordings, and printed material such as reports, articles, and clippings.

Sam Collier was a key member of the Sierra Club in the Southeast, working to protect the environment. The Sam Collier papers, 1985-2008, contain correspondence, reports and surveys, meetings and agendas, grant and funding proposals, and newspaper articles about environmental issues.

Abstract

The Sam Williams Collection for Research Atlanta, Central Atlanta Progress, and Atlanta Action Forum, 1969-2004, consists of published reports from various civic action groups regarding the state of Metropolitan Atlanta and Fulton County, Georgia. There is also a small amount of news clippings. Sam Williams was a professor at Georgia State University's Andrew Young School of Public Policy.
