Scope and Contents of the Collection
The M.H. Mitchell, Inc. - The Jennifer Ann Jenkins Collection (1970s-1990s) consists of household files, professional materials detailing her career in theater, photo albums, scrapbooks, costume patterns and designs, and theatre programs and posters. The collection also boasts a number of items relating to the historic preservation effort to save the Fox Theater inlcuding t-shirts and a fox costume.

Biography of Jennifer "Jenny" Ann Jenkins
Jennifer Ann Jenkins (1955-2021) worked as the manager of the Perimeter College theater and drama club and was active in the Atlanta theater scene as a costume designer. She was born in Manhasset, NY, and moved to Atlanta, GA in 1971. After attending Dunwoody High, Jenny moved on to DeKalb Community College - Perimeter Campus, for a combined senior year/first year of college program. After finishing the program, she moved onto UGA where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts. After college, she worked on several theater and movie projects before taking a job as the Auditorium Manager and Fine Arts Production Manager at Dekalb Community College in 1982. She worked there until the end, while working with the Drama club and maintaining an active prescense in the larger Atlanta Theater scene. Throughout her career, she focused on stage craft and particulary costume design and construction.
