Banning, Georgia, was a mill town located in Carroll County that thrived from the mid 1800s into the early 1900s. The collection includes a photograph, circa 1890, and excerpts from publications regarding the history and preservation of the site, 1980-1983, undated.

The Barbers, Beauticians, and Allied Industries International Association, Local 630 (Augusta, Ga.) was chartered in 1912, and was affiliated with the Journeyman, Barbers, Hairdressers, Cosmetologists and Proprietors International Union (BHCIU). The Records, 1942-1973 (bulk 1952-1972), provide information about the local's activities during the terms of office of its last two secretaries, F. J. Pritchard and Roger Rodgers.

The Benjamin Franklin Haley collection, 1964-1967, contains weekly reports of Haley's work as an organizer of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Southern States Organizing Office. These reports describe metropolitan Atlanta's construction activity in terms of union employment and growth.

Scope and Contents of the Papers The Bernice Dixon papers, 1851, 1881-1882, 1899-2015 (bulk 1954-1982), consist of correspondence, annual reports, catalogs, bylaws, programs, student materials, scrapbooks, photographs, yearbooks, and other printed material. Bill Barry collection of Lawrence Guyot papers, 2010-2011, consists of preparatory documents related to a guest lecture by Lawrence Guyot that Barry organized for his Labor studies program at the Community College of Baltimore as well as three DVDs about the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party.

The Bill Cousins collection of PATCO Local 321 material consists of news clippings, periodicals, audio tapes, legal files, and correspondence. Most of the material covers the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization's strike of 1981. Bill Cousins worked as an air traffic controller in Detroit, Michigan.

In 1958, the Birmingham Federation of Labor and the Birmingham Industrial Union Council merged to form the AFL-CIO, Birmingham (Alabama) Labor Council. Records, 1954-1965, include minutes of the Birmingham Federation of Labor and the Birmingham Industrial Union Council, 1955-1958, and of the Birmingham Labor Council, AFL-CIO, 1964-1965, and correspondence, financial documents, printed material, and photographs.

The collection consists of records of Local 1 (Asheville, N.C.) of the Bricklayers, Masons, and Plasterers International Union, and its predecessor the Bricklayers' and Masons' International Union of America, from 1903-1926. The collection includes dues ledgers (1903-1906; 1921-1923) providing information about members and the amount of dues income, minutes (1903-1913) providing insight into the local's day-to-day activities, roll book (1905-1922), and membership applications (1923-1926).

Eight minute books, 1950-1967, recount the weekly meetings of Atlanta's Local 8 of the Bricklayers and Masons Union. Committee reports, bills paid, inter-union disputes, amendments, and resolutions are recorded as are elections and membership information. Quarterly audits, 1950-1955, constitutions, agreements, and working rules complete the records.

The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Simpson Division 210, located in Macon, Georgia, received its charter in 1883. The local's records, 1884-1918, 1949, consist primarily of correspondence, financial documents, minutes and committee reports.
