These minutes detail their campaign to win the 9-hour workday during this period. Scope and Content of the Collection From the Collection: This collection contains newspaper clippings documenting a strike at an auto parts plant in Carrolton, Georgia from January 12, 1972 until February 6, 1973. United Auto Workers Local 1725 struck over working conditions in the Douglas and Lomason factory that produced automotive vehicle trim.
