Charles M. Houk held many prominent labor positions in Tennessee from 1956 through 1963. His papers include correspondence, financial documents, minutes, and legislative reports relating to the Tennessee Committee on Political Education and the Tennessee State Labor Council.

Stanton E. Smith papers
Stanton E. Smith (born 1905) was a labor leader in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He served as President of the Tennessee Federation of Labor and of the Tennessee State Labor Council. Smith's papers, 1938-1973, are comprised primarily of correspondence and other documents relating to his duties in those organizations, the Chattanooga Central Labor Union, and the Southern Labor School. The papers also include photographs and printed material.
