The Barbers, Beauticians, and Allied Industries International Association, Local 630 (Augusta, Ga.) was chartered in 1912, and was affiliated with the Journeyman, Barbers, Hairdressers, Cosmetologists and Proprietors International Union (BHCIU). The Records, 1942-1973 (bulk 1952-1972), provide information about the local's activities during the terms of office of its last two secretaries, F. J. Pritchard and Roger Rodgers.
The Southeast Region office of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union opened in 1937. Its records, circa 1950s-1970s, contain correspondence, collective bargaining contracts, contract and strike negotiations, agreements, National Labor Relations Board materials, and strike materials. The bulk of the material relates to a strike against Marlene Industries in Westmoreland, Tennessee.
