It bulks in the 1960s. “Old Files,” “Dean Trotter’s Files,” and the “General Correspondence” files cover similar topics: administrative functions, student activities, and faculty-student relationships. The University Audio-visual/artifacts Collection consists of photographs, sound recordings, audio-visual materials, artifacts and textiles, separated from the Georgia State University Archives and housed together for preservation purposes.

Abstract:

Between 1968 and 1991, Jean McKamy Thomas served as the Assistant Dean of Women, Dean of Women and Dean of Student Development at Georgia State University. Her papers include speeches written for functions at GSU and other Atlanta organizations. Lessons plans for primary school teachers and children's educational materials from Dr. Thomas's trips to Russia and China relate to her 18-year career with the Atlanta Public School system.

Abstract: During her tenure at GSU (1933-1947, 1953-1971), Nell Trotter taught classes in social ethics, home economics, history, political science, and business communication. She went on to become Assistant Dean of Students, Dean of Women, and Assistant Professor of Business Education. The materials in the Nell H.
