Scope and Content of the Series
From the Series:
This series includes the records of three presidents: William Suttles (1988-1989); John Palms (1989-1991), and Sherman Day (1991-1992). The records reflect the continuing growth of the university, and also the efforts made by the university to improve Atlanta downtown area through programs such as CAP and Auburn Avenue Revitalization. GSU was to provide volunteer assitance to the city during the 1996 summer Olympics, and discussion of this may be found in the Olympic Committee files, 1989-1991.
