Scope and Content of the records From the Collection:

The Records, 1976-1978, of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU) consist of handbills, a National Labor Relations Board petition, and agreements manual, and a sample ballot. The collection describes an attempt to secure a collective bargaining contract for the employees of Group Health Incorporated of Miami, Florida.

Scope and Content of the Records From the Collection: The Records, 1943-1969, of the United Packinghouse Workers of America consist largely of photographs, but also include a file of correspondence, newsclippings, pamphlets, and handbills. The bulk of the photographs are of strikers and picket lines, notably the Local 309 picketing the W & W Pickle Company and the Alaga Company in Montgomery, Alabama (1951). J. D.
