Content Description
M. H. Harris collection on industrial park development, 1957-1963, primarily consists of publications by local governments, industrial development authorites, and corporations, and by Industrial Development magazine. Much of the material relates to projects in the northeastern United States and Canada, but the collection includes items on the American midwest and Hong Kong. A few pieces of correspondence relate to Harris's interaction with officials and corporations in his capacity as Industrial Development's vice-president for advertising.

Historical Note
H. McKinley Conway, Jr. (1920-2011) founded Conway Data, Inc., and from 1954 published the trade magazine Industrial Development: The International Guide to Industrial Planning and Expansion (later titled Site Selection), the first periodical devoted to corporate real estate and economic development. M. H. (Malcolm Henry) Harris was Conway Publications' vice-president for advertising in 1961.
