Scope and Contents of the Papers
The Sharon Mathis Papers, 1993-2000, 2008-2020, undated, primarily consist of play scripts and dramatic monologues, in holographic or word-processed form. The collection includes scattered programs from productions of Mathis's work, as well as autobiographical writings and curricula vitae of her theatrical and psychological careers.

Biography of Sharon Mathis
Playwright, solo performer, and actor Sharon Mathis practiced as a psychologist for over thirty years. Dr. Mathis founded and directed Atlanta's Open Invitation Theatre, curating and directing collages of staged readings by diverse feminist poets and writers during the 1990s. Her solo play about transgender marriage, He/She and Me and has been performed at fringe festivals, psychology conferences, and trans and queer events. The Liars Child, her adaptation of a Greek drama exploring how history shifts with the teller, received an Ethel Woolson Award from Working Title Playwrights in 2013.
