Carol Brown papers
Carol Brown is an activist based in Cobb County who worked to keep the 1996 Olympics out of Cobb County and maintain funding for the arts. The Carol Brown papers (1993-2012) contain documents, video recordings, and newspaper clippings regarding the Cobb Citizens Coalition, the Olympics Out of Cobb campaign, and its aftermath.
Joyce J. Durand artifact collection
Joyce Jenkins Durand was born in Ducktown, TN in 1939. She received a B.S. in elementary education, a master's of librarianship, and a Ph.D. in educational leadership. Durand has worked for years in education and donated this collection that consists of a Susan B. Anthony dollar coin and mug promoting the Equal rights Amendment.
