Historical Note about Rome Central Labor Council

Rome, Georgia, was a center of the textile and carpet industries in the northwestern corner of the state. After the Second World War, Rome was home to several other manufacturing industries. The Rome Central Labor Council provided leadership and organization for organized labor in the Rome, Georgia, area.
