Course entitled Operation Phoenix, May 1959
Scope and Content of the Subseries
The subseries contains E.M. Broom's notes, speeches and course work while attending the Harvard Trade Union Program, papers entitled, "Proposed Changes to Section III of the Railway Labor Act", "Organized Labor in America and Norway," and also contains reference material such as the glossary of labor terminology. The series starts with Broom's membership card for Harvard's Trade Union Program and is followed by correspondence, course work and Harvard's publications such as its newsletters. Some of these newsletters contain the speeches given during the graduation ceremony. "Operation Phoenix" was a course that gave work place scenarios where what has been learned during the program can then be applied.
