Scope and Content of the Series

From the Series:

Series III contains a variety of records concerning projects undertaken by the Atlanta Club. Subseries A contains records related to Altrusa International conventions and district conferences. These conferences are a good source for annual reports from the various committee projects. Subseries B and D describe the workshops and educational programs which offered loans and grants assisting women to attend graduate school. The Grants-in-Aid (GIA) and the Atlanta Altrusa Scholarship Fund assisted in financing applicants in higher learning. Subseries C describes the Villa International project, temporary lodging and hosting of international guests new to the Atlanta area.

Series III is organized into eight subseries: A. Conferences and Conventions; B. Educational grants, scholarships, loans; C. Villa International; D. Vocational Services and Workshops; E. Literacy; F. ASTRA- Youth club of Altrusa; G. Awards; H. Charitable Service.
