Series VII:Subject Files, 1940, 1946-1974, contains correspondence and other materials which did not fall within the other series. Of particular interest is material regarding the 1959 assault against Robert Beame, an American Federation of Hosiery Workers representative who was organizing the Franklin [North Carolina] Hosiery Mill (a subsidiary of Burlington Mills, and four folders relating to the CIO Organizing Committee (Operation Dixie), 1946-1954, including correspondence from George Baldanzi and Lorne H. Nelles. The series is arranged alphabetically by topic.
