Series II, National Office Administration, 1955-1974, contains routine correspondence with national officers including President George Meany, Secretary-Treasurer Lane Kirkland, and Secretary-Treasurer William Schnitzler and with various departments in the national office. The bulk of the material from the departments originated with the Organization Department which oversaw the operation of the regional offices and includes correspondence with Franz E. Daniel (1956-1962), William L. Kircher (1964-1973), Alan Kistler (1956-1974), and John W. Livingston (1955-1965). The series is arranged by function.
