(NUMMI), which was the conglomeration between General Motors and Toyota Motor Corporation (The two jointly manufactured compact cars for the United States with the very specific task of building a limited quantity of one specific model of automobile in a period of twelve years); The Negotiated Investment Strategy (NIS) was conceived as a way to deal with the problems of local communities through formal process of negotiation between representatives of the federal, state and local levels of government. NIS experiments were conducted by Charles F.
