Scope and Content of the Subseries
Subseries E is comprised of two seperate donations transferred from the Usery and Associates office to the Southern Labor Archives in 2003-2004. Usery and Associates served as a pioneering catalyst for labor negotiations between the United Auto Workers (UAW) and private industries, and of particular interest in the subseries are files regarding the joint venture between Toyota and General Motors and the negotiations with the United Auto Workers regarding benefits and pay.
