State public health nurses district fifteen: correspondence, 1969
Scope and Contents of the Sub-Series
Files of the individual nurses' units. Stanley Kravit and Robert Hice were both involved in urging nurses to form local units/chapters, and these files cover the time that each was active in Georgia. Materials document the organization of each unit/chapter and any attempts made by that unit/chapter to bargain collectively with employers. This subseries includes the records of the Dekalb General Hospital unit that document in detail the build-up to the mass resignation in by approximately 100 of the nurses at that hospital.
