Scope and Contents of the Sub-Series
The files kept by Stanley Kravit while he was the ANA Economic and General Welfare consultant to the GNA track his efforts in organizing nurses into local units (the files of each local unit are in Subseries D), efforts to change Georgia laws to allow for collective bargaining by public employees, and other related activities. The most momentous event during his tenure was the mass resignation by the nurses at Dekalb General Hospital. The build-up to the resignation is documented in correspondence and other material in this set of files, as well as in the files of the local unit.
