International Association of Machinists (IAM) collection of President’s Commission on the Health Needs of the Nation records, 1941-1942, 1950-1953 [bulk 1952] primarily consists of reports, drafts, transcripts of testimony and statements, agendas, and transmittal correspondence, 1951-1952 [bulk 1952]. The material, which is in no discernable order, documents the committee’s intensive work to gather information during 1952 and includes a copy of the summary of the final report in folder 11. Other printed reports and articles are interspersed in the collection, and one file consists of printed material, 1941-1942, 1950-1953, largely concerning alternative medicine.
