Scope and Contents of the Collection
Mark Show papers, 2008-2017, reflect his role as financial secretary in International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), Local 322 (Charlotte, N.C.), and his participation in IATSE District 7 and the Southern Piedmont Labor Council of the North Carolina State AFL-CIO. In addition to financial records, contracts, and printed material related to Local 322, the papers include records related to IATSE steward and leadership training and North Carolina State AFL-CIO political activity. The papers document Show's attendance at IATSE District 7 Conventions, IATSE International Quadrennial Conventions, and North Carolina State AFL-CIO Annual Meetings with reports, notes, and agendas. A small quantity of pins and badges relate to the conventions and meetings, and other artifacts to national politics.
