Scope and Content of the Series
The WSB Radio Records contain a large number of photographs, slides, film footage of various events, a music library including nearly 55,000 disc recordings (indexed by title and performing artist), approximately 300 transcription discs dating from circa 1942 through the mid-1950s, and a number of tape recordings of interviews and WSB programs. Arranged by subject, alphabetically, the photographs and slides depict WSB facilities, employees, performers, awards, events, and promotions. The WSB films are listed alphabetically by title and provide coverage of award ceremonies, radio news, anniversary celebrations, and other events. Microphones, headsets, plaques, a banner, and other equipment comprise the artifact portion of the collection.
