Contests, circa 1952-March 1963

Most of the files in Subseries A originated with the Promotion Department at WSB. They represent a selected sample of the types of promotional events sponsored by the station in the 1970s and 1980s. The subseries also contains files of materials relating to contests sponsored by WSB, particularly call-in or write-in contests during the 1950s and 1960s. In addition, publicity materials produced by WSB from 1922 through 1985 have been placed in this subseries. Most of the files relating to station promotions date from the late 1970s through the mid-1980s; they are arranged alphabetically by topic (i.e. "Contests," "Publicity Materials") or name of promotion (i.e. "Arts Festival of Atlanta").
