Georgia College Personnel Association -- awards committee, 1979-1984

The bulk of the files in Subseries B, were created through Young's membership with five professional organizations: American College Personnel Association (1982, 1987-1988), Georgia College Personnel Association (1977-1984, 1987-1988), Georgia Association for Counseling and Development (1979, 1983-1987), Southern Association for College Student Affairs (1984-1987), and the American Association for Counseling and Development and its Southern Region Branch Assembly (1983-1987). For each of these organizations, she served in some sort of executive leadership capacity. The files contain membership lists, minutes, newsletters, awards,and correspondence leading up to and following the actual meetings for each body. There is also travel information in the form of brochures, maps, and programs for the conferences she attended. This subseries also contains files relating to other organizations, including one folder about Pilot International, and a few files documenting her involvement with the founding and administering of Georgia State University's chapter of Toastmasters Club during the 1970s. Most of the Toastmaster material, however, is printed literature.
