Georgia State University "Student Center Needs" -- surveys, 1983-1987
Scope and Content of the Subseries
Subseries C is comprised of materials about the renovation and expansion of Georgia State University's J.C. Camp Student Center, as well as the day-to-day running of the Center. Most of the content is in the form of articles taken from the school newspaper between 1983 and 1988. These articles include issues of the need, cost, design, and construction of the facility. Among the records are the 1987-1988 planning reports submitted by the designer consultant for renovating and enlarging the building. Other material consists of mail surveys sent to other Georgia colleges and universities for vital statistics about their student centers, surveys sent to Georgia State University students for input on its design and accommodations, and a brochure describing the Center shortly before work was finished.
