Biographical note

Recording of gathering at home of George Goodwin. Participants include James Mackay, George Goodwin, and Bea Haas. James Mackay served in the Georgia House of Representatives 1951 to 1953 and 1955 to 1965, and as the 4th District US Congressman from 1965 to 1967. George Goodwin was a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter for the Atlanta Journal and director of Central Atlanta Improvement Association. Bea Haas was a key figure in the League of Women Voters in the 1940s.
