Property National Federation of Federal Employees Local 63 San Diego, undated
Scope and Contents of the Sound Recording
This recording consists of a radio broadcast on KFSD San Diego of the program Chain Reaction Forum with the topic "should federal employees belong to national organizations?" The guests include L. Wayne Thomas, President of the California State Federation of the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) and Marvin Hall, Safety Superintendent at the Naval Air Station at North Island. They explain that unlike members of other unions, which are affiliated with labor organizations, members of the NFFE cannot strike. They emphasize that the NFFE is the voice of federal employees in Washington, lobbying Congress for better pay and benefits.
