Scope and Contents of the Sub-Series
Subseries B, like Subseries A, includes label agreements and contracts between UGWA and individual companies. In Subseries B the companies are filed alphabetically by state. Many of the contracts also include correspondence, lists of rates of pay, and additional notes by union officials. Notable documents in the period of the 1940s are letters between companies and the National and Regional Labor War Boards, in which petitions are made for increases in wages, approval of piece rates, and acceptance of holiday pay.
