Scope and Content of the Series
The contracts mostly consist of union labor contracts (conditions the company has to meet in order to be allowed to use the United Garment Workers of America Label in their clothing), working contracts, and a small number of shipping clerk agreements.
The series has been divided into three subseries: A. contracts in order by company; B, contracts in order by state; and C. shipping clerk agreements. Within each subseries, files from accession L1992-17 are filed first, followed by those from accession L1997-08.
