Georgia State University Library, Special Collections Department holds over 70 oral history interviews with retirees, members, and leaders of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Most of the interviews have been conducted by IAMAW Grand Lodge personel or Southern Labor Archives Staff. Many of the interviews have been transcribed.

The interviews in this series were, with a few exceptions, initiated by the Georgia Government Documentation Project and are with a wide range of prominent public figures. Narrators include both elected officials and individuals who never held office. Among the narrators interviewed are former U.S. Attorney General Griffin B. Bell, U.S. Senator Paul D.
