Gay pride celebrations

The Asha Leong papers, 1977-2019, consist of flyers, correspondence, newspaper clippings, t-shirts, a small number of periodicals, event materials, buttons, and media. Asha Leong is healer, coach and trainer focused on helping queer and trans, people of color thrive.

The Atlanta Feminist Women's Chorus (AFWC) was an all-woman singing group that performed in Atlanta, the Southeast and the United States from 1981-2009. The AFWC records document the formation and life of this unique southern musical group as well as its interaction with the rest of Atlanta and the LGBT community. Its records include office files, photographs, audio and video recordings, textiles, and artifacts.

Candy Carson graduated from Georgia State University in 1988 with a BS in education. Carson was a registrar at Georgia Tech until she retired in 2007. The Candy Carson Artifact Collection contains T-shirts and buttons relating to LGBT issues, including materials from various Atlanta’s gay bars, Atlanta Pride, and AIDS walks.

The Gil Robison papers, 1973-2011, consist of publications, legislative materials, pamphlets, handbooks and other materials relating to Gay life and AIDS in Atlanta. Gil Robison was a Gay Rights activist and political leader from Atlanta, Georgia.

The Maria Helena Dolan Papers, 1931-2018 [bulk 1951-2018], consists of a myriad of materials documenting Dolan's vibrant work, life, and activism. The papers primarily contain subject files created by Dolan, containing printed material from many diverse sources with Dolan's notes and annotations, and her own writings.
