Abstract: The Chattanooga Building Trades Council is a subsidiary of the AFL-CIO Building and Construction Trades Department. The records, 1901-1968, of the Chattanooga Building Trades Council are composed primarily of correspondence, limited financial records, and work agreements.

Abstract: Frank Borman is well known as the commander of the first lunar orbit mission, Apollo 8, and as the Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Airlines from 1975-1986. The Frank Borman Papers, circa 1968-1989, contain office files and correspondence once held in the Office of the President at Eastern Airline's headquarters in Miami, Florida.

Scope and Content of the Collection The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Artifact collection comprises a wide variety of artifacts, including charters, photographs, paintings, posters, banners, certificates, and tool kits, 1888-circa 2000. The items were created or received by IAMAW's officers, headquarters, and local lodges. The collection includes the contents of the "Time Capsule of 1955" placed in the cornerstone of the union's then headquarters.

Abstract: The collection consists of records of District Lodge 46 (Atlanta, Ga.) of the International Association of Machinists from 1937-1965. Consists primarily of correspondence and contracts relating to union recognition and contract negotiation.

Abstract International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District Lodge 96 (Savannah, Ga.) records consist of company and office files. Included in both types of files are information on organizing union/NLRB elections, grievances, arbitration, negotiations, correspondence (between the district lodge, the companies and the IAMAW headquarters), and agreements. Abstract: IAMAW Local Lodge 37 was chartered on July 11, 1899, and dissolved in the late 1980s. Its records relate to the day-to-day activities of a major New Orleans union and its relationship to the International headquarters, and include constitutions, bylaws, minutes, correspondence, agreement reports, financial records, membership cards and artifacts.

Abstract: The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has represented the interests of machinists, engineers, and aerospace workers since the late 19th century. Included within this collection from the IAM's central office are letters to the executive board, union decisions, correspondence, video cassettes, photography, and film reels, circa 1930s-1990s.
