The American Association of University Women (AAUW) promotes education and equity for all women and girls, lifelong learning, and positive societal change. This collection consists of the history, office files, conference materials, meeting information, and outreach programs related to the Atlanta branch of the American Association of University Women, 1939-2013.

American Federation of Government Employees, Local 1145 represents employees at the United States Penitentiary in Atlanta. The records, circa 1930s-1970s, primarily consist of printed material and the files of the local's longtime president, Ralph D. Stancil (1905-1978).

The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Local 4 (Atlanta Ga.) represented the interests of the employees of the city of Atlanta until the local was absorbed by the conglomerated Local 1644.

Local 32 of the United Federation of Postal Clerks merged into the American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO, Atlanta, Georgia in 1971. The records consist primarily of the administrative and office files of General President Wallace Baldwin, Jr., including correspondence, reports, minutes, constitutions and by-laws, contract negotiations, training materials, arbitration and grievances, newspaper clips, administrative files, and other printed materials.

The Andrew P. Wood papers consist of flyers, newspaper clippings, correspondence, t-shirts, bumper stickers, as well as extensive materials relating to the Atlanta chapter of ACT-UP, 1987-2014. Andrew Wood is a graphic designer and gay activist.

Anne L. Harper is a civic leader in Atlanta, using her expertise as an educator and a business consultant to further the cause of girls' participation in athletics. The Anne L. Harper papers consist of files relating to her effort to draft a state bill and launch activities to further enforce the federal Title IX law.

Armenia Williams (1940-) was chief of nursing at the Atlanta Southside Office of Economic Opportunity Center, where she implemented Georgia's first Nurse Practitioner program. From 1973, she was on the faculty of Georgia State University's School of Nursing. Her papers comprise course materials, detailed case studies for proper nursing care for various ailments, ephemeral medical advertisements, and medical pamphlets.

Atlanta Bar Association, Labor Law Section records, 1961-1980, include minutes, financial statements, reports, membership figures, bylaws, resolutions, and correspondence. The correspondence mainly pertains to meeting arrangements and fiscal matters. Also contains information on the Section's study of the police pay program of the City of Atlanta.

The American Federation of Teachers, Local 1565 (Atlanta, Ga.) records consist of office files, political files, benefits information, elections materials, correspondence, artifacts, and training materials.

The Atlanta Federation of Trades (AFT) was organized in 1891 and was comprised of representatives of the various local craft organizations in the Atlanta area. Its records, 1900-1937, include correspondence of AFT officers, minutes of the AFT's Labor Day Committee, membership information, and resolutions.

The Atlanta Feminist Women's Chorus (AFWC) was an all-woman singing group that performed in Atlanta, the Southeast and the United States from 1981-2009. The AFWC records document the formation and life of this unique southern musical group as well as its interaction with the rest of Atlanta and the LGBT community. Its records include office files, photographs, audio and video recordings, textiles, and artifacts.
