Joseph M. Brown served as Governor of Georgia in 1909-11 and 1912-13. The collection contains a speech delivered on October 29, 1912, regarding in strikes and labor conflicts, and correspondence between the governor and the Georgia Federation of Labor and the Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators, and Paperhangers of America.

Labor and Employment Relations Association, Atlanta chapter records (1983-2006) consits of correspondence and meeting materials. The Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) is the singular organization in the country where professionals interested in all aspects of labor and employment relations network to share ideas and learn about new developments, issues, and practices in the field.

The North Carolina State Federation of Labor was organized in 1907 and held annual conventions until 1957. The North Carolina State AFL-CIO was then organized in 1958. The collection consists of administrative files, 1945, 1949-1981, and also includes material regarding the North Carolina gubernatorial campaign of Wilbur Hobby, president of the North Carolina State AFL-CIO.

The collection of Paul L. Styles Sr., 1950-1972, is composed primarily of his correspondence and speeches during his three years as a member of the National Labor Relations Board and his eleven years as the chief labor relations officer with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

The papers, 1955-1980, of the Reverend Joe Irwin consist of reports, memoranda, and a seminar paper concerning the International Labor Organization (ILO).

The Roma Heaney Collection consists of a 17 page paper, "Hear That Lonesome Whistle Blow: The Introduction of Industrial Work Discipline in the Southern Pine Region, 1900-1920."

The collection contains newspaper clippings and one photograph.

The records, 1950-1972, of the South Carolina Labor Council, AFL-CIO, consist mainly of correspondence.

The Records, 1937-1979, of the Tennessee State Labor Council consist of correspondence, literature on pending state legislation affecting labor, "state of the state" addresses of the Tennessee governors, and legislative bulletins and newsletters.

This collection consists of an anonymous 55-page typescript titled Brief History of the United States Department of Labor (circa 1962) and a sheet reproducing 3 unidentified photographs.

UNITE HERE/Workers United Southern Region records consist of contracts, negotiations, grievances, videotapes, photographs, charters, periodicals, and t-shirts. The Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees (UNITE) merged in 2004 with the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Union (HERE) in 2004 to create a new union known as UNITE HERE.

United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 144 (Macon, GA) Records, 1887-1970, consist of minutes, correspondence, financial documents and printed material. The collection, which includes the original minutes of the founding of the local in 1887, bulks in the 1940s and 1950s.

UFCW Local 204 was based in Charlotte, North Carolina, before moving to Winston-Salem and primarily represents the interests of grocery store and nursing home employees.
