Florida State AFL-CIO records
Florida AFL-CIO was formed in 1958 with the merging of the Florida American Federation of Labor and the Florida Congress of Industrial Organizations. The collection, 1965-1968, consists of correspondence, minutes, financial documents and printed materials. Correspondence illustrates such primary concerns as labor's role in education; state and national legislation; opposition to the Taft-Hartley Act and the Landrum-Griffin Bill, and its support of Congressman Claude Pepper.

Georgia State AFL-CIO records
The Georgia State AFL-CIO was created in 1957 by the merger of the Georgia State Industrial Union Council (CIO) and the Georgia Federation of Labor (AFL). The bulk of the records of the Georgia State AFL-CIO (1980s-1990s) consist of minutes, correspondence, campaign and political materials, convention materials, photographs, newsletters, VHS and cassette tapes.

International Union of Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers, Local 191 of Rome, Georgia, originated the significant 1969 strike against GE that led to an eventual federal lawsuit. Its records, 1953-1997, include documentation covering the daily operations, communications, and organization of the union.
Joseph Jacobs papers
The collection contains materials related to attorney and union organizer Joseph Jacobs's work in the labor and civic community. Specifically, the papers cover his activities in the fields of labor, the Workmen's Circle (Arbeiter Ring), the Georgia Humanities Council and the Georgia Democratic Party.

The collection consists of administrative files, 1945, 1949-1981, and also includes material regarding the North Carolina gubernatorial campaign of Wilbur Hobby, president of the North Carolina State AFL-CIO.

Stanton E. Smith papers
Stanton E. Smith (born 1905) was a labor leader in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He served as President of the Tennessee Federation of Labor and of the Tennessee State Labor Council. Smith's papers, 1938-1973, are comprised primarily of correspondence and other documents relating to his duties in those organizations, the Chattanooga Central Labor Union, and the Southern Labor School. The papers also include photographs and printed material.
