Abstract: The Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union (ACTWU), which represented textile workers throughout the United States, was formed in 1976 out of the merger of The Textile Workers Union of America (TWUA) and the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America (ACWA).
