IATSE, founded in 1893, has been in the Atlanta area since 1896. Local 225 was formed in 1911 and merged with Local 927 in 1996. Local 225 was a Moving Picture Machine Operators (MPMO) local, whose members operated projectors throughout the Atlanta area.
