Cathey W. Steinberg was recognized as a leader for consumer, family, and women's rights during her service in the Georgia House of Representatives (1977-1989) and Georgia Senate (1991-1993). John Greer was a Georgia politician. Greer's career in state politics began in 1939 when he became Clerk of the Georgia House of Representatives. Greer served a number of years as State Representative (1945-1954 from rural Lanier county, and 1970-1989 from urban Fulton county) and as State Senator. Nan Orrock has served as a senator and as a representative in Georgia's State Legislature since 1987, and as president of the Women Legislators' Lobby.
