Abstract: Howard "Ty" Cobb joined PATCO, the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization, in 1975 while working as a GS14 Air Traffic Controller at the Atlanta Tower at Hartsfield Airport. He was terminated in the mass firing of striking air traffic controllers by the Reagan Administration in 1981, which also led to the dissolution of PATCO. Committee files, newsletters, newsclippings, photographs, audio recordings, and artifacts make up the Howard "Ty" Cobb papers, 1968-2001 (Bulk 1975-1984).
