Scope and Content of the Series

The series contains claims, grievances, general disputes and related documents, 1947-1978. Most disputes were taken up with Southern Railway Systems Board of Adjustment and other railways such as Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific Railway Company and the Piedmont and Northern Railway Company. Roy A. DeRossett, Assistant Director of Labor Relations, worked to resolve matters involving employees represented by the Brotherhood of Railway and Airline Clerks.
