Correspondence and reports make up the bulk of the Economic and General Welfare chronological files. Many of these files have sister files for later years in the alphabetical files (Subseries F); however, the original organization of these files included both chronological files and alphabetical subject files and has been retained here. These different organizational schemes probably reflect the changes in Economic and General Welfare office staff during the 1960s.
