Series VI contains a variety of printed materials that were essential to Emma Kelly and her career as a pianist, singer and performer. A result of her collaboration with Johnny Mercer was the creation of the List of 6000 Songs. Johnny estimated that Emma knew at least that many songs and, determined to list all of them, helped her to organize the titles of all the songs she knew.
