Scope and Content of the collection From the Collection:

The J. B. Pate collection consists of printed material, clippings, certificates and scrapbook materials relating to J. B. Pate's work as a leader in the Labor movement.

Scope and Contents of the Records From the Collection:

Grievance case records, 1958-1967, arranged by company, and comprised principally of correspondence and transcripts of testimony, constitute the bulk of these records and illuminate the grievance process as well as disputes in labor-management relations. A jurisdictional agreement and National Labor Relations Board material concerning representational elections constitute the small portion of the collection related to organizing.
