Historical Note about of Furniture and Bedding Workers' Union (of United Furniture Workers of America), Local 18-B

In 1940, the Chicago woodworkers' union, previously affiliated with the Upholsterers' International Union as local 18-B, joined the United Furniture Workers of America. It was known as the Furniture and Bedding Workers' Union (of United Furniture Workers of America), Local 18-B.
