Scope and Content of the Papers
The papers, 1942-1982, of E.L. Abercrombie consist of a letter from Atlanta labor attorney Harris Jacobs (May 19, 1982); an editorial written by Hal Gulliver in the Atlanta Constitution (May 17, 1982); an article about Abercrombie written by Margaret Shannon in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution Magazine (February 4, 1979); and twenty-six photographs of Mr. Abercrombie, other members of Laundry Workers Local 218, officers of the Laundry Workers International Union, and others, including Coretta Scott King. Most of the photographs date during the 1970s.
